May 16 - August 15, 2015

Pushups for Charity is an annual fundraiser that raises awareness and support for our military heroes through the national nonprofit, Boot Campaign. There are three ways to get involved.

Host

1. Register and name your team.

Your host fee gets you 10 team shirts, marketing materials and stellar training from the Boot Campaign. Once registered, you’ll set up your customized Crowdrise fundraiser page to publicize your event details, manage participant registration and collect donations.

2. Pick your date.

2015 PUC events will kick off on Armed Forces Day, May 16, and go through August 16. You can choose any day within that range to host your event.

3. Pick your location.

All you need is a space big enough for your teammates to push - schools, gyms, offices, parks, even churches will work!

4. Recruit your team.

Enlist your friends, family, coworkers and community to push at your event. Ask them to sign up via your Crowdrise page and spread the word. As participants, your team members should recruit their friends, family and coworkers to sponsor their efforts to complete as many pushups as possible in 90 seconds. Their sponsors donate to your team via your Crowdrise page.

5. Host your PUC event.

After registering, the Boot Campaign team will be by your side to support and guide you along the way. You’ll receive a host package and invitations to participate in several training webinars leading up to the kick-off, ensuring you’re fully prepared to market, recruit and execute a successful PUC event.

Participate

1. Join a team.

It’s easy to find a team near you. Teams are organized by city, state and team name to make it simple to locate the best one for you. Once you pick your team, register to join and select your shirt size. Every participant receives a 2015 Pushups for Charity t-shirt to wear to their PUC event and any other time the need to support a great cause strikes!

2. Join your team’s Crowdrise page.

Add your information to the Crowdrise page to give your sponsors a place to sponsor your pushups or donate directly to the cause. It’s super simple and the system will walk you through step by step.

3. Spread the word.

Enlist your friends, family, coworkers and community to support your efforts to complete as many pushups as possible in 90 seconds. They can sponsor you by donating any amount via your team’s Crowdrise page. We’ll provide you with numerous online tools to get the message out, including suggested posts and email templates.

4. Have a blast.

This is the easy part! You’ll be amazed at how much fun you’ll have pushing with your team. No matter how many you do or how well you do ‘em, changing lives is amazing and you’ll do more just because of it. Wear your PUC shirt, bring your friends and make a difference in the lives of our military heroes!
